K 2019: „Part of the solution, not part of the problem“

Two weeks ago, K 2019 Preview event in Düsseldorf made it clear that the plastics industry is facing major challenges, but will also be presenting its solutions at K 2019. Dr. Rüdiger Baunemann, General Manager of PlasticsEurope Germany and member of the AGPU Executive Board, said that it is now particularly important to inform politicians what is possible with plastics and to show them that bans are no solution. Baunemann was convinced that no company or association can solve this task alone, but only together and with intensive networking. It must be made clear to all those responsible that many sustainable solutions are only possible with plastic and not without it.

Proposals can be submitted to the INOVYN Awards website by 15 May 2019. A jury will then decide which product or project will receive the awards on 17 October at the awards ceremony during the K 2019 fair in Düsseldorf.

K 2019: Circular Economy, Resource Conservation & Digitalization

In addition to material and technology innovations for the plastics and rubber industry, the K trade fair (16 to 23 October 2019 in Düsseldorf) will focus on the circular economy, resource conservation and digitization. These topics are also to be found at the joint special presentation „Plastics shape the Future“ by PlasticsEurope Germany and Messe Düsseldorf.
