On the occasion of the 21st Altkunststofftag in Bad Neuenahr, AGPU and the Federal Association for Secondary Raw Materials and Waste Management (bvse) has given a positive interim result for the recycling of PVC as a building material. PVC has numerous durable applications in the construction sector. Proven products such as windows, floorings, pipes, roofing and waterproofing membranes or cables are particularly worth mentioning here. “By building up and expanding recycling solutions that are now very well established, the sustainability of these construction products can be demonstrated,“ says Dr. Thomas Probst of the bvse.

This development is also documented in the recently published VinylPlus^® progress report, which shows that PVC recycling numbers are steadily increasing in Europe. The recycling activities in Germany played a major role in this.
